i have shot deer in the wind. just got off stand today. it was pretty windy but it died down about a 45 minutes before dark. i saw a spike at 10 yards at 3.15 pm doe and a fawn come in around 4.30 and around 5.00pm a nice 6 point that offered no shot. as long as it isint heavy winds i say go for it! i do hunt some heavy cover pines though.

I will tell you what! always hunt hard in the wind, the deer cant smell or hear you, I always get out of my stand and still hunt on these days, I just scored a nice 10 pointer last friday in northeast Mass dressed at 187.

Went out tonight under a " TORNADO WATCH" rain and heavy winds-and saw seven. It all depends on how much pressure and at what time of year your hunting. Just remeber if your hungery you get up and get yourself somthing to eat right. Same for the deer they just might not tned to go very far to get thier grub.
