yeah I was mostly talking about dodging vehicles and poachers , natural predators, coyotes and well, weather alone!
ice can get them and winter is far from over!

as I sort of figured legal hunting season was over or darn close

I managed a bunch of properties and seen many make it thru hunting season to get hit by cars or just gone MIA, enough to know, just cause they make it thru hunting seasons, doesn't mean they will be there next season

deer have to dodge and survive to make it to older ages!
its not that easy as just dodging hunters!
hunters are just a small part of things IMO

so again best of luck he makes it, he should be a smaller if he does!

No major roads near by, so being killed by cars or poachers won't happen....coyotes around but I'm sure he's fine as healthy as he is

I used to think a big buck could defend itself well, till yrs ago this video came out of trail cam time lapsed pic's,
it showed a healthy mature buck getting attacked and killed and eaten by coyotes, and they ainb't that big of coyotes either here, and buck is well, pretty good sized compared to them
issue is simply, a DOG, coyote can out run a deer to the point it ain;t got nothing left, which is why its legal to shoot dogs chasing deer in so many states!

its a pretty sad video IMO
and very cool at the same time,
and have ti imagine rare to get all on camera like they did,
so never say never!
and again I wish that buck the best to live long and age well, and you get a chance at him come hunting season!
