Looking to get my wife a rifle, need to find some place she can shoulder/try as many different as possible, combined with someone behind the counter who knows what they are talking about.

This place is pretty good. They sell everything for the sportsmen.

Worth the trip just seeing the beautiful North Country.

That's the thing, we are more of a archery family. I've bought two guns in the last 10 years, one at basspro, a shotgun I knew what I wanted and a rifle for myself, not sold on that shop, but they had a bunch of ones for me to shoulder. I knew the caliber I wanted and all they had to do was mount the scope for me.

Looking for options.

I know you stated nh, but the kittery trading post,about two miles over the border into Maine from Portsmouth, has a huge selection of new and used guns you can walk in and handle. If you have never been there it is worth the visit. They also have a nh store location they can do gun transfers to....

Skips up in Bristol has a small but good selection. I was in last week and the prices were reasonable.
