i think it will be fine. ive been a bow hunter since the age of 12 (now 41) but the past few years ive had alot of neck an shoulder problems so i gave it up knowing i could have got a special permit for a crossbow but just never felt right about it but ive purchased a crossbow an really like it!

In PA the poundage is the same. min of 125lbs, the broadhead must be at least 7/8 of an inch across. There is no min bolt length or safety requirement but since crossbows are drawn long before game is seen and people are on stand and walking around with cocked crossbows, I think the safety requirement makes sense. PA also has the prohibition against drugged or poisoned arrows and against explosives. Look like good common sense regulations to me.

I agree OT. I think it is just like when the compounds came out and there was some push back since it was different. In my state they are having a license problem with older people stopping and not many kids coming up into the hunting thing. The crossbow will probably keep some of the older hunters going. I am 67 and still pull a 70 pound Mathews but it isn't as easy as it once was. I think it is OK to allow crossbows.
