I strongly recommend you sit down and read the hunting and trapping digest that came with your license. There are some WMUs that are buck only for the first week of the deer season so you cannot kill a doe in those management areas during the first week of the season. Those who said you can, without knowing where you are going to hunt are doing you no favors, as the Game officers do not take "I read it on the internet" as an excuse for violating the law. I will never understand people who get all the seasons and bag limit information they need in a booklet when they buy their hunting license would rather take somone's word that they do not know, on the internet, over reading the digest and finding out for theirselves. Has society become that lazy?

as oldtimr said, most of the state is buck only the first five days. you have to wait until the first Saturday to hunt does. check in the digest to find what the rule is where you are hunting.

DNR in PA has nothing to do with hunting. The Game Commision which is an independant agency controls hunting. Once again, read your digest, just look in the index for deer season and bag limits, nothing complicated about it, even a child can do it. In the time you took to make three posts, you could have looked it up and had your answer. Sounds like you want to be led by the hand. Take notice, the first answer you got here were wrong, no one else would have responded it could have cost you $500.00, that should be incentive enough to read the digest.
