I'm thinking of heading out for 2nd season archery. Still alot of deer in my area, they seem to like living around the neighbors houses

Got a nice doe on the morning of the last Saturday. Didn't see a buck the entire season. I shot the doe on a private farm that I was invited to hunt by a buddy. On the SGL and Water Company public land I hunt, I only saw two deer the entire season.

We didn't see a many deer this year, but I did have the opportunity to take a legal buck that I passed on. Didn't seem to be a lot of deer killed this year from reading the message boards anyway.

BTW, for anyone interested, we have just started a new Pa hunting and fishing message board. Come check us out at

Not one Deer seen in Pike County! The hunting has been real BLEAK in my part of the woods! { Milford/Pecks Pond}. Part of the problem is the Hunter numbers are down and the Deer are not being pushed. Did see a Bear but could not get a clean shot. Just Keep Hunting !! Thats all you can do.

Congrats on the doe. I got 3 bucks this past season, my dad got 2 bucks and my nephew and niece each shot a buck. My nephews first deer. 7 bucks total. I would of shot one of those too if given the chance. Gave the last buck to my mom.
