Who is goin after them turkeys in NY, or are you all too preoccupied with archery? I know I can' t wait to get home from college so I can go out, we aren' t allowed weapons at school anymore, we used to be able to check them with campus security but now there is a federal law against it.

no one in the northeast hunts fall turkeys? I feel left out, maybe I' ll stop hunting them

I' ll be chasing fall birds in the fall here in PA. Not only for myself, but for clients, a video and some writers at different times so count me in....great stuff.

Hard to choose.

I usually hunt deer in the morning and evening, and hunt turkey the rest of the day. Nothing better that hunting all day.

Never had the desire to hunt them.I had at least a dozen come down from the trees behind my house. Made me jump at first.Didnt know they were up there. They sure are noisey when the come off the roost. it was 8:30,aint that late ?????

I may give it a try here in Maine in about a week. They just created a new season for turkeys here. The new season is, archery only, 2 weeks. Have been seeing a lot of them lately. I' m a good bow shot, but I have never hunted turkeys before. Should be interesting. Only $10 for the permit.
