Default Places to hunt in MD

I'm a student at the Naval Academy and brought my bow back with me this year to try and do some hunting. I've noticed it's pretty difficult to find a place to hunt within reasonable driving distance i.e. 30 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm willing to work to compensate.

Or if anyone could point me in the direction of some decent public land, that'd be great too.

Is that near Baltimore? If you cross to the eastern shore there is plenty of land to hunt.

I'm only about 10 minutes from the Bay Bridge so Eastern Shore isn't too far. How far from the bay are you talking?

Go south. Look on a map. There is a huge game lands down by Blackwater park. I have not been down there in years but the Sika deer had pretty much taken over the area and run the whitetails out. Might even be better to go to Delaware. You need to check out some maps.

You can hunt Fort Meade. But I think qualifying has passed. Nearest public land is patapsco park about 30 miles towards B-more. Somre more land in Southern MD, also.

Being at the Naval Academy, i dont think you will have much time for hunting. My son attended there and never had time for anything except school.

Look into MD managed hunts. Probably your best bet given your circumstances.
