Just back from SE Ohio
 

Just got back from a week in SE Ohio. Do it yourself on public land you can do it with success with alot of homework and beating your feet to the ground. The national forests are huge with plenty cover to grow huge bucks and the abundance of deer is incredible. Anybody else have success. I will post pics from the computer it won't let me from my iphone

What Public land were you hunting? i lease 800 acres in SE Ohio and there is a ton of State land near me! Statford OH . real nice area. Would love to see Pics!!

Egypt valley on the back side of 800. Tough country to hunt but if you put some time in it pays off. I have the pics on my phone but can't figure out how to upload from it

Any questions let me know I might be able to help. Been going for 2 years now and don't expect any help from people from Ohio on this site they like to keep their public spots private although I would do the same too.

I live near Egypt Valley...seen alot of mounts from there...any where around here is awesome huntin though..

HA-HA-HA. Wish that was true Barnes. I'm seeing better bucks in PA, but nothing like what I see around Ohio. Glad you enjoyed the public land. And you are correct. Put the work in and there are some great opportunities.

regardless PA and Ohio are both in the big 5 for best results with big bucks. I'll take the chance to hunt in either of them anyday of the week!
