Good luck to NJ for opener tomorrow
 

Good luck all you NJ ites. WHo are in the right zone to go out tomorrow. I will be off at about 5:00 am and hope a nice fat doe comes my way. I plan on doing my own butchering when I get my doe tomorrow;). SO it will be a fun day for sure. My wife can' t wait for some good venison as we missed out on venison last year do to a car accident.

whish you luck! i messed my knee up last week so i will wait till the end of the month. i might sneek out up to zone 8 for a day before my zone opens (21) i could never figure out why that zone opens later?

Thanks LO, I did have a great day even though I didn' t harvest a doe I had a fawn all alone around me most of the morning. I did have a nice fat doe come up from behind me but with the fawn in front of me and the doe behind me I was caught moving by the adult doe and she ran off. It was a great day to be out though.:D I will be going out tomorrow morning and see if my luck gets better.

Oh good luck with the knee. Hope you have a quick recovery and get out there.

Hey 445....How you feeling?... Glad you made it out. I hunted Saturday too. Seen 10 deer but all were too far out. Felt good to be in the stand. Take care.

Had a six at 10 yds but no does. Like you said Joe sure felt good to be in the stand again.

Correct me if I am wrong....you went out opening day (Saturday), then said you where going out tomorrow (Sunday?).

Isn' t it illegal to hunt Sundays in NJ?

CatskillHuntr if you look at the day he posted the reply it was Sunday' s date which means he going out today Monday.

THanks Jersey, Cat, I was not hunting sunday I meant monday.

JJ, I am feeling good enough to go out even though It does hurt its tollerable. My tree stands are not far in do to too much walking to get there but I am having a blast. I am doing better but I will still need surgery in january most likely on both shoulders. SO I will have the off season to recover. I am just so happy to be out there.
