PA turkeys

whats going on with the turkey sightins & actvity for the PA turkeys? I will be hunting in 3C WMU in the Frendsville, Forest Lake area I know here in Ct I have not seen or heard alot of birds yet. Which I think is strange with such a milder winter I thought the would be hot to trot by now. Any sightins happening ?

I usually see a hen or 2 with poults feeding in the front. Nothing yet but I have plenty of turkeys in my woods.

I'll let ya know when they show up!

How was the mast crop in your area? The areas I hunt are usually teaming with turkeys. But this year there were absolutely no acorns to speak of. All the game move elsewhere. No turkey, a couple deer, and no bear. But they should return when the food comes back.

I had a fairly good mast crop in my area this year. Last year wasn't to good.

I'll start seein them on the property soon, I'm sure.

Good luck this year!

Saw the first gobbler last morning. Beard was 8-9 ish and spurs looked over an inch from what I could see through the binocs.

They feed through the front of our property fairly regular. Poults should be in tow with the hens soon.
