NY ML season
This season is almost in the books; seems I just started taking target practice for bow season a couple days ago...it always goes by so fast & the end bittersweet.
How's everyone making out this year?

Pretty quiet board,huh?
I don't know where you are in NY, but here is the eastern portion it was little mast & a whole 'lotta apples- the exact opposite of lat year! Travel routes changed accordingly. I figure, the season I don't learn something new will be my last.
Glad to hear you've got meat.

Tag soup-goes best with plans for next year!
Speaking of which, I was just reading some old "news" regarding a plan for next year's tags. As I understand it, there may be no more antlerless or either/or tags issued; if you hunt all 3 seasons, you will be able to shoot 3 bucks only in areas where there are no DMP's issued.
Also, antler restrictions may be instituted in additional zones.
My gut reaction to this plan is that it might be a looooooong time before some of us fill the freezer again.
Given the buck-doe ratio in my zone 4, frankly, I won't bother purchasing a license at all if what I've read is accurate.
What I will do is ensure my vehicles are properly insured for comp (deer) claims...
