Anyone see any wind power going up in Steuben County NY
 

I hunt part of the season in the town of Howard NY in Steuben County .
Last year I was told by a few locals that there were going to be some wind mills put up in the area but they got a late start on paperwork so this spring 2011 they would be going up for sure .
Just curious if anyone from the Howard area or near there has seen them going up and if there is any none finish date ?

There are quite a few going up down there. Between natural gas and wind a lot of land is changing there.

I hunt up near the South Woods and Spencer Hill Roads on private land .
Appreciate any updates on the wind project since the season is now a couple months away .

sounds like we are neighbors, at least during hunting season. Windmills going up all along the north side of south woods road from coots road to burt hill.

Where aboughts do you hunt there ?
I,v been going there for at least 18 to 20 years .
Any idea on the deer population this year ?
The land owner told me they were putting a tower up on his parcel last year , guess they got behind and are biulding them this year .
Do you no how far long they are and if there going to be done by this years opener ? Thanks

we hunt west side of south woods a little south of where you are, this will be our fifth year. I haven't been down there since turkey season so i don't know how far along they are. Lots of deer during turkey season, also 3 bears.
