I missed one on my land opening day, the first I have actually seen although I have been hearing them for 4 years. It was a really large gray/red one, beautiful animal.

Tomorrow I am going to Gander Mountain and buying a Primos Power Dogg predator call and going to actually try to hunt for coyote when all the deer seasons are done.

Two great calls are the Tally-Ho
http://www.king-cart.com/cgi-bin/car..._name=Tally-Ho
Also the Burnham Bros
http://www.burnhambrothers.com/produ...roductID=18638
Just get a good loud howler and a single or double reed mouth diaphragm for quiet close in calling to and you're all set.

Was out walking the other day looking for deer sign for the late muzzle loader season in PA. Saw more dang coyote tracks than deer track not matter where I went. Same with two other guys I talked to.

we got 1 coyote this deer season, bigone at 48 pds or so. almost left it go because it looked like my dog toby ,then it struck that it was coyote.

we had reports of 5 running together.i got 6 last winter in drurys run area of clinton.i have got to get caller as i borrowed mine from robbie last winter.
i am looking at foxpro spitfire but i hate to put out 200 dollars for one but they are BEST.
my way of coyote hunting has increased my kills 100%.i hunt out of my SUMMIT 180 MAX IN DARK WITH NO LIGHTS. but i have move more as i am cleaning out area so what i do now ,is look for tracks, then set up that evening, no more just setting up.

i got coyotes fairly thinned out in drurys run but trappers say they are still there.more move back in.
so without caller i am going to have to wait until sales go on.
