Hes the reason we travel over 6 hrs one way every year. I no they have the genetics and Bucks to produce this size rack . Just so many guys shooting anything they see , small bucks included .. I just shot my wall hanger on the 29th here in Northeastern NY, Although not as high scored , hes a dandy to me .. He to looked like a 200 lb monster and only weighed 162 lbs . His spine was 3 " up and he had no hind end .. |
wow.. what a freak!!!
|
what a monster! Congrats to the lucky hunter and to you for finding his shed in the spring!

That is one huge buck I think I would crap my pants if I ever saw a deer like that in the woods.

Just wanted to correct the scores on my original post. According to the official score sheet:
left antler = 93 2/8, the right (broken side) = 68 1/8 gross green score = 181 3/8 A 181 typical is pretty darn impressive for here in NY, especially when he's missing half of the tines on one side... |
I'd say so!!!

Just thought that I'd throw in a few nice field photos of this great deer with the lucky hunter that killed him. Congrats!!!

congrats....in a word...wow...nice
|
heck of a buck. to bad he was damaged during velvet.
|
Nice buck. I would , however add the scores up again for the right and left side. Your about 20 pts. over.
This is an excellent example of just how big a rack must be to top out over 170, |
