Default 1st day archery in PA

Just wondering how all the bow hunters made out on the first day. I didn't get out myself, but was outside working most all day and never heard a shot.......

I took my 13 yr. old niece on her first archery hunt and although we saw a nice doe, it never stopped in a shooting lane. But, she said she had a good time and she did a little practicing after the morning hunt.

Saw a doe with two yearlings. Within 20 yds of my tree stand for about 20 mins. Right up til dark. Had to wait until they left to get down so they wouldn't blow out. Then had another snort at me while I was getting my stuff together, then another as I was walking out. It was an enjoyable day. The weather was great.

Our camp got three does in Sullivan. One guy also had a bear under his stand. Coyotes howling all over the place.
