Default 2010 PA Elk Season

Do you guys enter the drawing every year? This will be my 4th season entering the drawing so my name will be in 4 times. Just curious to see how many of you go for it. I only entered for the bull, as I have no desire to shoot a female. Hoping this is my year!!!

Good luck.I live just on the inside of the ELK range and have never sent in for a tag.I honestly don't know why either.I guess the odds just don't seem worth it.

I entered either the first or second year they ran the drawing, but have not entered since, I got discouraged based on the odds. However this year I actually decided to just order a preference point as I do not have the time to hunt elk this year, but would like to in the future.

I think it would be great to draw a bull elk tag, I think it would a fun hunt.

I wonder if the number of people entering elk applications has gone down?

I didn't put in on years that I had a moose license. So I've put in all but three years.

How many lottery tickets have you bought in your lifetime?

I'm thinking about it this year, but my vacation time is getting scarce. If I get the license, I think it might be worth taking an unpaid vacation day or two. A trip out west could be $4000 and I make less than $2000 a day.
