My 2009 PA Gun season
Just wanted to share with you guys my camps 2009 season. Deer numbers were low. We did manage to get some bucks tho. We put our time in the field however. Here's some pics.
![]() This is my sisters second deer in her second season. She made a nice neck shot when it came out on a drive and dropped it right on the right of way. No drag required! ![]() My uncle actually shot this deer, but he doesn't like pictures so his granddaughter posed for it. ![]() My cousin and grandpa planning the next deer drive ![]() One of the spots I like to hunt at ![]() My dad shot a nice buck and this is the first blood spot we found. the deer jumped the fence by the road and fell down apparently. ![]() My dad with his 8 point ![]() Me with my 8 point, I'm on the left ![]() This is her first buck Tw ![]() A few nice deer, and my buddies first as well! Hope you all enjoy! -Jake |
Thats what it's all about!
Friends, family, lots of happy faces and some venison in the freezer. Nice pics, nice season! BTW, that camp looks familiar. Where are you guys located? |
Camp is in Indiana county. We usually have about 15 hunters. about 8 of us hunt the whole season every year. Always a good time.

Nice deer, nice pictures, nice thread.

I'm glad to hear you and your crew had a good year.
|
I know that general area pretty well. I have hunted around there a few times in the 80's, although I didn't do as good as you guys have this year.
Some great memories you guys made this year. Congrats. |
Great pics...I love to see hunting camps that are still doin' well and hangin' in there!

That's the way we did it before AR in my area. Counting 4 on the run is tough, so we do small controlled sloooow drives. Great job and looks like the whole bunch had fun. If you all came home safe it was a great day!

anytime a see buck harvested and not doe on tailgate brings back a lot of memories of the bucks we hunted .
that was very nice picture to see........... |

i HATE so bad what i know is happening with AR.. the exemption to AR should be for ONLY kid 12 yrs old. makes me sick that hunters will do anything to get around rules........ |
good stuff dude, many stories to be had on that season, and what a body on the buck your dad got
|
Ya, that buck was a heavy drag. As for couning points on the run, its tough. All those bucks we knew were big enough, but we've let several run by that were borderline. I'm ok with that, but alot of ppl that are needing meat, well I feel for them.
