"But I'll trade deer for grouse any time."

You're not alone. So would all 5 members of the Pa ruffed grouse society.

Dont feel too bad there Liv. I fancy myself a half decent shot with bow and could knock the eye outta a fly landed on a groundhogs backside at 400+ with rifle... But them grouse dont do anything but p- me off. lol. Aint hunted them in years though.

Gittin' ready to head out the door in about half hour, gonna do some pushin'. Man that wind is a howlin'. lol.

If you find grouse, you can bet your azz there are deer not far away.
This guy would rather hunt ducks, but this time of year grouse will have to do.

Many of time those grouse had to show me how good I really am with a shotgun, not very good.

How'd you do over that way Jim? I'm hoping the fact that you'd like to head back meant it was worth the drive

LOL! This may come as a shock to you but this is the Northeast forum and the thread was started by Jim about opening the canopy. I gave him directions to some areas where that had taken place. Asking how he did was the purpose of my post. What was the purpose of yours?
