Based on the picture it looks like the right side (as we look at the photo) has three legal points. It's close but in the absence of a ruler in the photo, I'd say he's good but just barely.

Oh, and since we seem to be splitting hairs and picking nits, the point that's in question is actually the G-1 not the G-2 as defined by B&C. The G-1 is the first point no matter where it sprouts from the main beam. The G-2 is very obviously a legal point.

The question still remains whether or not the WCOs are enforcing the 1" point law.

But WCO RWJ said WCOs would give a hunter a break if they were close to 1",which means they aren't enforcing the 1" rule.

What WCO RWJ pointed out was that simple common sense would likely be applied in a case like this. Thats something law enforcement folks have to deal with every day. Like the cop who lets a guy drive by at 68 miles an hour in a 65 zone. Like the WCO who didnt pinch my buddy's Girlfriend for shooting directly away from a house but was standing only 146 yards away from that house when she did. Etc Etc

WCO RWJ gave a common sense answer to an unusual situation. Not a blanket statement about statewide PGC policy.

It is not an unusual situation, in fact it is quite common to have a point less than an inch determine if a buck is AR legal or not. I have passed on several buck for this reason, but if I knew they weren't enforcing the law I would have killed those buck.

So those of us that follow the letter of the law are penalized while those that push the limit of the law benefit.
