the only thing i noticed last week is that the big does are starting to leave the yearlings to fend for themselves long periods of times. i watched to yearlings for 2 hrs eaing corn and never saw the mother come in(i know the mother because she jumped the string on me a couple weeks ago) and my buddy saw her come in the night before i saw the yearlings. these cold nights should speed things up

Talked to a guy yesterday that says he saw a buck trotting across a field in broad daylight yesterday over by Fort Meade. Sounds like the bucks are starting to get wound up. Saturday should be good.

I would say the pre rut is in mid to late stage. Some does have already come into heat, but the majority haven't. Young bucks are all over the place where I hunt. They are chasing a lot!

Woods are hottest now until Thanksgiving.

I was out Saturday and had a 4 pt and spike come around to smell the esterus buck bomb. They didn't actually go over to the buck bomb but I think it's cause the wind was swirling and after it sat there a while there is no way you could pin point it. Never got a shot on anything though.

I'll be out again this week and next weekend. Post if you see anything.

I was out saturday form dark to dark, had good action from 7-10:30 am with bucks pushing does, and some bucks getting territorial pushing other bucks out. Saw 6 bucks that morning and 1 more in the evening. 3 of the bucks were definite shooters for me, the rest were all 1.5 year old spikes, 4 pts etc

Seeing rubs and scrapes but not much else. Should get good anytime. I will be out with my son on Saturday.

I was out last weekend and seen a doe with her yearlings still. I still think we are a week from seeing something heat up. At least I'm talking lower eastern shore.

All kinds of action down here. Running does, fighting, scrapes and rubs. IMHO I think the peak will be the beginning of next week. Hope the weather gets better!!!
