Default Any N.H. hunters in here?

I hunted all weekend in central NH for muzzleloader opener. It was way to warm 70 on Saturday and very windy. Still prerut here but the rut should really kick in this week.

I saw three does Sunday when I decided to walk right through the middle of the swamp where they like to bed. They were right in there bedded down on grass hummocks.

Anyone else hunting NH.

I'm in NH. Got out this weekend but it wasn't very good. Had to get my buck from Thur to the butcher, hunters coming in on me, wife leaving out of town and the weather really messed me up.

What part of NH are you in?

I didnt see any chasing but did see srapes and rubs all over the place. I would think end of this week and all next will be prime. The weather is finally cooling off so that will help.

Were they shot in VT or down in MA? I saw photos of a 8 & 9 pointer taken on a trip to MA. The three guys are from VT and took a first time hunrting trip down to public land and scored big time.

I still have a bear tag and my gun tag left for here in NH. I’ve got all my Vermont tags so there’s still plenty of hunting left to do.

10/14/09

Very nice. I only wish I had that success up here.
