PA Guys...MORE rain on the way this weekend.....

Just got back after caught up in my stand in a downpour!
Checked local radar before leaving this morning. The high tech Doppler Radar showed nothing coming. The weather people might as well convert that tool to check for enflamed hemorrhoids. Because it sucks for tracking storm systems!

Got up this morning and it was pouring. Still pouring. Maybe it'll clear up this afternoon. I'm having withdrawal symptoms already. Yesterday it started pouring after I was a mile from the truck. Ended up setting underneath my umbrella for a few hours. Stayed pretty dry. On the way out, I impaled it on an arow and walked out beneath it. Worked pretty well to.
Thinking about heading to Ohio or NY for a week or so. Can't make up my mind

Got in the tree about 6:30 and it was so overcast that I thought daylight would never come. Started raining and it poured pretty good for over an hour. Then it got so dark again I thought the sun was setting in the morning.LOL.
Cleared up and got breezy. I had a heavy canopy of oak and maple so I never really got all that wet, but the breeze dried what I did get. I was in the stand till almost 3pm. Never saw a deer. Neither did any other of our 4 guys. I saw (and heard..he was a real talker) one jake.
Perhaps next Saturday they will start moving.

WMU3D had nonstop rain 6pm Friday to 8pm Saturday. In the AM, went out for five hours in the soaker, broke my bow hanger, and one of the knobs on my treestand. Lets just say soaked to the bone and the woods were void of any creature other than me.

i agree, a certain downer, but it has been worth it for me to sit 4 hours in the rain for my evening hunt, to have 30 minutes of no rain and see some monster bucks...only they are 200 yards out of range HAHAHA
