I have seen scrapes being made during the past week and have had buck and doe responding to my grunt call. I have also seen 4 dead deer on highways to and from work that occurred during one night last week. I haven't seen a dead deer on these roads in weeks, now they are starting to get hit. I think it's starting at least with the younger bucks.

As far as the ticks.... I pulled at least a dozen off my dog after pheasant hunting this past saturday. They are alot smaller than the ones I saw earlier in the summer.
