I don't scout! I sit at the edge of a field and take 100 yd shots. My bow has "killing strength" to kill that far.

I may end up getting a crossbow and try 200 yd shots, now.

I like to scout them out whenever I can.. I like to find the deer yards in the winter so that when deer are under pressure I can find them. Alot of times when the deer are under pressure they will go back near the areas that they would yard up in. This is the thick stuff that allows them to feel safe. Spring and summer months just gives me an idea on how the deer made out during the winter..
