I have been a long time reader of this board. I check in and read the threads on a daily basis, but rarely respond to or initiate a thread. But I now find myself i a position where I feel I need to say something before I get entirely discouraged and stop visiting this board. ENOUGH WITH THE MASS BASHING ALREADY! I have hunted Mass for 15 years and during that time I have met a good number of people in the woods that anyone here would be proud to know. They are respectful, proud hunters that certianly do not deserve the M******* label that I read here all the time. Sure Massachusetts can be a difficult place to hunt because of the limited game and public hunting and the sometimes crowded woods. But, my friends and I never seem to have any problem filling our tags from year to year. Things that are worth having dont come easy. With hard work and the right attitude, it is possible to find land (even in eastern Mass) where a hunter can get away from the crowds and be very successful. If you happen to live in Mass and still find it impossible to bite your tongue, I would suggest you move to someplace that is more to your liking. I apologize for using this as my "soap box" and thank you to all of you that took a minute to read my rantings.

Jersey, hands down. I went to school with a bunch of people from Jersey, including my roommate. I gotta give them credit, a bunch of them have killed plenty more deer than I have. I still make fun of them because they are from Jersey though. Just a little joke between us. Take care.

I don't know, Pennsylvania gets ripped on REALLY bad, I have heard everything from PA hunters are unethical to PA deer are all tiny and everything in between. The way I see it is, most people saying this stuff don't even know how to spell the name of the state let alone know about the habitat and animals in it.

P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

HMMMMM! I have stated that their are many unethical hunters in PA. I have stated that their are some tiny deer in PA. And, I could properly spell..Pennsylvania...for MORE than 20 years before you were born.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
