I shoot all year round. When I built the rooms in my basement, I left enough room to shoot end to end in the basement. This allows me to shoot when it's nasty outside.

I've had mine out several times for woodchucks the past few weeks. Great practice, especially working on stalking skills. Not to mention, with this Damon Howatt recurve, 20 yd. misses show lot of practice still needed.

I shoot my stickbow most every day as long as there ain't no snow laying. As for the compound, I shoot it about once a week through the summer, then several times a week in September if it looks like I'll be hunting with it. Lately though, as light and natural as the stickbow feels in my hands, I have less of a desire to hunt with it.

Sure. Let me dig it up. Thanks for asking.

This one was special. It was the first year in several that I was able to hunt without using a crossbow. 100% luck and the Red Gods were sure smiling on me that day.

Thanks. I have a videotape of that buck and another about his size knocking horns the evening before I harvested him. I should edit it and post it up.

Great job manyspurs. Several years back Id really thought id like to make a bow out of Osage stave and try and kill a buck with it. Just couldnt convince myself of putting in the work and meticulous crafting involved only to snap it over my knee when I missed what would probably be the biggest buck Id ever see with it within easy range. (LOL)
