I went back and searched that forum. Looks like Sproul was getting heckled by a bully that favors killing someone else's dogs. Sproul spoke his mind and said exactly what he would do if someone shot one of his dogs, which was blown out of proportion by the instigator, who cried "threat." Seems to me that Sproul could have considered those earlier comments threatening toward his dogs under the same circumstances. Also seems that everyone else in that forum supported Sproul, yet he is the one that got axed? Don't mess with a man's dog, his family, or his truck. Hang in there, buddy. We all want you back.

Deep down you HNI mods know you want tis to be a happening forum with lots of members. Surely you can see that several threads get out of hand, but most folks just enjoy debating. I believe that most times things just sound worse than they are.

I am in contact w/him. He missies you all!! He has been helping me w/some flintlock questions I had and w/his 35+ years of shooting them he knows some!! It doesn't matter oif the mods leave him on here or not. We welcome his insight and humor on another site. But I do beleive it is this site that brings out the Mountain Lion, stink and mountain man good stories from him. HN's loss.

Ol' Sproul COULD take a ba!! busting over his mountain lion claims. Listening to someone talk about what they would do to someone's pet, and if I'm not mistaken, his pet, if he let it run, was too much for him. I'm glad I didn't read the BS, I'd have probably been banned also.

I got to give him props for sticking up for the defenseless.

Been gone for a week+ and just catching up around here but I couldn't agree more!

Most of us know that this thread is technically against the rules but if ever there was a good reason to bend em a little, this is it! I've been a member here for 7-8 years and Sproul was here before me. I'm not sure what, exactly, was posted to cause this but I can say that Sproul has been a far better behaved member than many here (self included;))

I would simply ask respectufully that the mods, admin or whomever has the ability to reinstate the old coot, please consider doing so.

If someone threatened one of my dog's, they'd get the same response from me. I'm sure that even the mods would feel the same way. This country is going to heck from all of this lame political correctness. And no I'm not against swearing, it's the only way to post something without it getting censored. Here's a case in point our former Vice President's name is Dick Cheney, the former Acting Governor of NJ's name is Dick Codey. Their name can be posted all over the news, the internet, the radio but not on Huntingnet.

Been busy taking care of family matters and just got back yesterday from one last Steelhead trip. Thought for sure Sproul would have been back by the time I got home from my trip. Steel: I liked yourdescription of Sproulthat you made onanother post. That is what I kind of envisioned when replying back and forth with Sproul. I like the responses everyone is giving on Sprouls behalf. If I could afford it right now, I would make those t-shirts up and give one to everyone who has shown concern for Sproul.
