I want to hunt NY this spring. Anyone have any info on some good public land? Or is it possible to get on private land? I dont expect anyone to tell me there hotspot. Im just looking for a good starting point. Im thinking of running up this Friday and Saturday to scout. [/align]

Thats a pretty broad question for any of us NYer's to answer. Where in NY are you thinking of coming up too? Southern Tier, Northern tier, and which unit? There's alot of public land in NY, and most of its all good hunting. So if I was you I'd just look at some maps, and select a couple of public lands to check out, where ever it is youplan on traveling too.

K...I'll bite.... I have no idea where you're looking to go but there's an area I started out hunting turkey in about 25 years ago and I still return there once in a whie too. It's in a town called downsville. It called bear spring mountain. State land with a few fields not that bad on the walking trails.. give it a shot. good luck, hope this helps
