we simply have a higher percentage of 2.5+ buck.
OK!!! ALL RIGHT!!! I think you're starting to get it.

Now repeat this until the light comes on.......

2.5 bucks are B-I-G-G-E-R than 1.5

B-I-G-G-E-R is B-E-T-T-E-R

Keep repeating and get back to me when you've got this part and I'll gladly help you move on

But the 2.5+ buck we have now are no bigger or better than the 2.5+ buck than we had before ARs , so we do not have bigger and better buck as you claim.

despite your childish responses the fact remains that our bucks aren't any better or bigger than before ARs and it is high;y likely that the average 2.5+ buck is smaller than the average 2.5 bucks prior to ARs since that is what Dr. Kroll study shows.

i dont know if i should stick my nose into this.

from what i am seeing from AR,the horns on bucks are biggerbecause buck is living longer.

you are seeing more bucks with bigger racks.

as for their body weight, in wmu2g, NO, THE BUCKS HAVE BIG RACKS WITH MEDIUM BODYS.

years ago when we did kill a big horned buck bodys were huge,i am not seeing that in clinton county anyhow.

all bucks i got from the AR have not been the big bodys of a buck i shot back in 70s with same size rack.

Taxidermists, processors, hunters all over beg to differ with you.

The evidence is undeniable, except to those in denial.

Bigger, better bucks! Not more mind you, but bigger and better!

Sorry, thatyou can't shoot those spikes any more. Sorry that you apparently cant outwit an adult buck. Take heart though, eventually even a blind pig finds an acorn once in awhile. Sooner or later a deer will come by you. Or maybe you'll hit the powerball. Miracles do happen from time to time.
You just gave the answer to your own there btbuthunter. You thoink that maybe just maybe there might seem like bigger deer to some because they are not allowed to shoot the first buck they seen that was under HR rules? Could be what ya think there? So it doesn;t mean there are more or bigger bucks than before,it just means over 16 of age is not allowed to shoot an HR buck and have to wait for a larger buck to come by. Take in to consideration of the buck harvest decline from the past years and you will see there are less bucks being harvested. Now if there was more and bigger bucks than before the harvest numbers would be higherwhich is not the case. Would you call that a balanced herd when more bucks than does are being harvested? Maybe PA will have the first ***** dear herd and you can help the PGC manage them with your expertise on the subject.

there is less bucks being harvested in clinton county because there are less bucks.less doe too.

it was nothing to see 7 bucks a day by our crew back in 70s.

i remember sitting in apple tree in 1965.

back then we did not have treestands, you just climbed up a tree and sat on limb.

no ticks also or coyotes.

1 afternoon i had12 bucks parade under my apple tree , biggest being a 8 point.

the big 13 point i was after would not come into field until dark.

i had 8 point bucks rubbing their horns on apple tree i was in and i was only 8 ft above their heads and they didnot smell me.
so, we had a lot more bucks years ago,a lot more .

this story is TRUTH.

i also hung from limb, dropped on bucks back and tried to grab horns at same time to ride him thru field, well, that stupid idea did not work
