gas well affecting deer

With all the gas well drilling going on around pa i was wondering if
anybody thinks that could hurt the deer herd
And they drilled on my land and when they done i know have a nice
semi naturalsalt block i wonder if it is legal to hunt around it

I don't think that salt brine is very healthy for anything ,but you do have a great place to plant clover.

yes i planted clover turnips there
i have seen deer lick like mad at the big salt brine block in the summer its always a mud hole
winter they have snow beat down i dunno i haul salt brine from gas well site and know it can
have trace amount of gas and oil in it lol they clean it up some and dump it on roads

As long as it's just salt in that lick. I'd be worried about what other junk may be in there?

It does open up some great food plot territory tough:D

Take some of that brine and put it in an old glass jar, then take a 1/2 inch bolt 4 inches long wrap a piece of copper wire around it so you can pull it from the jar, then take it out every third day look at it and tell me how many days you think it will take before you can break it in to with your finger.

I'm saying it won't take very long.[>:]

i would say it will hurt any deer that licks it.

gas drillers are being pressured to produce what they put in that water.

we will find out someday that drinking water is going to be polluted from this too.
