I live in south-west PA and I ve had trail cams out since the end of muzzeloader. I ve got many pictures of one buck that dropped his sheds, and I ve got several pictures of a decent eight point that is still sporting head gear. This is as of January 5th.

Are your stand located in a preserve or are you just a compulsive liar?

I haven't found anyMass. sheds in WV this season.

On a serious note, what's everybody's shed hunting technique? Do you just walk on the main trails and really scope out the bedding areas? The set I found this year was my first shed finds, found them up on a ridge about 5 feet off the trail, pure luck.
I've done best in thick bedding cover. Melting snow like we had today is great for spoting beds and the antlers are exposed. Second best is to walk fencelines and creek bottoms where deer hop over obstacles and seem to jar them loose. I've also heard of guys dumping corn under low grapevine tangles andfinding antlers that got bumped loose when the buck went for the corn. Never tried that one myself.Good luck!

Why do you say that? I have seenthree bucks since seasons. I was driving though. Two in my hunting area and one pretty far from it.
