So where in South Jersey are you? I lived in Sicklerville from 96 to 06. Never hunted Jersey, always went back to Md.

i'm curious to know how you justify a "road kill permit" when you killed the animal, not the vehicle. deer live full and healthy lives with 3 legs. it may have taken the deer and hour or so to get the hang of walking and running on 3 legs, but he would have been fine (pending internal injuries if any). i'm not trying to start an arguement just stating first hand observations.

The deer died not by a car but by you, therefore it WILL NOT fall under a road kill permit. My advice to you, is delete this post.

Just a thought. A full grown whitetail buck that could be approached and euthanized with a knife probably has more severe internal injuries than could be seen by someone without veterinary training. My guess is that 2Robinhood did the right thing and the authorities recognized that by issuing the permit.

My guess is that 2Robinhood did the right thing and the authorities recognized that by issuing the permit. The question is whether he told the authorities the whole story. I didn't hear him say that he told the authorities that he took a knife to the deer. I think he is lucky that he didn't get himself hurt while dispatching that deer. A deer with antlers that size is nothing to take lightly. |
