Doug E,it's there job to know how many deer we have ! If they don't know how many deer we have,please tell me how you can set bag limits,change seasons,and allocate antlerless licenses ???

Name one other state that claims to actuallyknow how many deer they have.

All anyone has are estimates on the number of pre-season deer; estimates as to how many were killed by huntersand estimates about herd growth or decline.

You can set bag limits based on harvest trends and by the state of the habitat.

The meeting I watched was about one year ago, and I don't remember details. But what I do remember is the failure to directly answer questions. It was quite a ballet. Kind of like when I watched the Game Commission director's annual report to the House Fish and Game Committee.
