Mountain lions in PA!
 

I have a friend that has seen a mountain lion neer my home in PA. I've heard other people saying that there are mountain lions in PA. But when he saw one I was sure of it. At the first the Game Commision denided that there where mountain lions around but now they're starting to admit it. Any feeling on this? Has anyone else seen a mountain lion in PA? If so please post it.

I am 150% certain that I saw a mountaine lion in PA about 5 years ago. I was spotting in next to the Alvin R. Bush dam and we saw eyes on a horizontal tree feet off the ground. After about two seconds it jumped down and calmly walked parrallel to the road. We got a great look at it...way to big to be a bobcat, and the 5 foot long swooping tail gave it away immediately. It was by far the most majestic animan I've ever seen in my life, when he walked it looked exactly like an african lion the way their shoulder blades move. THEY'RE IN PA.....TRUST ME

That's what I heard too. The tail and size gives them away. The same with the one that is around here.

Oh yea they are here alright, they simply must be because people say they saw one. But, unlike mountain lions in all other parts of the world the ones in Pennsylvaniahave really unique capabilities.

The lions in Pennsylvania can fly and that is the reason none have ever left a track in the snow or mud. The lions in Pennsylvania don’t ever have to eat either and that is why no one has ever found were a lion killed anything. And, since they don’t have to eat that also accounts for why they have never left any scat any where in this state for people to find.

Why the mountain lions in Pennsylvania are so good not one has ever been captured on one of the hundreds of thousands of trail cameras scattered across the state. None have ever been caught in one of the hundreds of thousands of foot hold traps set in the state each year forever either. Not one has ever been shot in mistake for a deer during the deer season in spite of the fact they are the same color as a deer, yet hunters shoot other hunters in orange vests and hats in mistake for deer every year.

But, the really interesting thing about the Pennsylvania mountain lions is their ability to burry their remains after they have died so that no one has ever found a dead one even though people have been reporting seeing them for more then the thirty plus year I have been getting the reports of mountain lions. I guess the mountain lions in Pennsylvania just never diesince no one has ever found a dead one or even the bones of dead one in over a hundred years.

The fact is that a VERY high percentage of the people that see a bobcat in Pennsylvania believe they saw a mountain lion with a long tail because they actually saw the way the back leg of a bobcat extends behind it when it walks or runs.

That's an excellent example of PGC damage control. RSB is obviously well rehearsed in the "we can neither confirm nor deny" dialogue. Wonder sometimes if he drives a black suburban and wears a suit and sunglasses. My bet is he has during some point in his illustrious career, seen firsthand evidence, whether tracks, droppings, etc....and is following his instructed protocol. Well done. Imagine the uproar, if they were to admit they were confirmed, let alone that their being here had anything to do with the PGC. Obviously they feel the public can't handle the truth. Not that this is a surprise to anyone familiar with the deer fiasco. You can't keep a lid on a boiling pot forever. Eventuallly concrete evidence will surface, and they will be left stuttering and looking for a good coverup. Till then, expect to be severely ridiculed any time you post these things on a message board, esp one patrolled by the damage control specialists of the PGC. If it helps, I believe you. My own mother saw two inher yard. The charming deputies that showed up to investigate, could not find any "definitive" tracks on the frozen ground and tried to convince her that she saw two otters! She saw the plan as day right by the woodpile....knew darn well what they were. Only regret was that she went for the camera instead of the rifle. They were gone before she could get the picture. My advice to the next person who sees one is to shoot it on sight, and be sure you have lots of witnesses of the carcass, save some kind of DNA samples before the PGC confiscates the body, take lots of pics, and above all, better be able to sell a good "in self defense" alibi. We can blow this thing right out of the water.

My brother has lived in Wyoming for many years where thereis actually a breeding population of mountain lions. He is out riding horseback all day every day for a living and he has never seen a mountain lion. He has seen their tracks in the snow and that is all. Why are so many mountain lions spotted in PA?? Why are there no tracks in the snow?? Oh yeah, I forgot they can fly!

Funny how no one can deny the facts of this and RSB's post.
All they can do is claim there are literally 1000's of gov employees in on a massive "coverup".

More "reports " of sightings come into NY and Pa then states where they exist.

very soon i will have picture of possible COUGAR in the cameron county,pa. area near the BUCKTAIL TRAIL.from what i HEAR,its a good film of cougar.

i am working on it now.

just tonight we have CONFIRMED sighting from hunters that were turkey hunting in the PETES RUN RD area of clinton county,pa.;)confirmed means, I TRUST THOSE HUNTERS WORD AS THEY ARE SEASONED HUNTERS.

i saw cougar and know what i saw,;)

no amish crap story in my houshold,only word of SPROUL that they do exist.

1 sighting in 47 years in woods,no wonder most deny they dont exist.

it is odd, some DCNR employees saw cougar but not 1 game warden.

that is hard for me to believe that all accross state ,NO WCO SAW A COUGAR.:eek:
