As for the gentleman who suggested I could have confused it with a bobcat.....last time I checked bobcats arent six feet long + A FOUR FOOT LONG SWOOPING TAIL.

Good point, all the mountain lions in Idaho and Montanna must migrate to Arizona for the winter.Tracks are not found during winter because we don't have mountain lions in this state.

i was wondering where you have been.

there is track in clinton county.
eastern cougar group has it and i believe it is posted on their site.
go look.

but then you will say its NOT CONFIRMED or WHO ARE EASTERN COUGAR GROUP.

i agree, tracks are not showing up like coyote tracks,i cant answer that.
EVERY SIGHTING i hear about is usually in summer/fall,not in winter.NOT 1 SIGHTING I HAVE HEARD OF IN WINTER.
i cant say WHY,i dont know.
i do know when RELIABLE hunters , i know said they saw one,TAIL and all, i BELIEVE THEM.
i saw one, that should be enough to say there are some.
are they tame animals, i dont know, do they go back to owners after running in woods ,i dont know, are they wild, i dont know.

what about the cougar shot by farmer in midstates.
game commission investigated it and said,THEY DONT EXIST.
the farmer shot the cougar the next week.
this info is available and picture of cougar.

i am last person that wants to see a cougar killed.
i think they put excitement in woods and will bring in thousands of tourists.
cougar attacks are far and few even in states where they are ,heck fox attacks are big thing now.

its tail i feel was about 2 and 1/2 foot long, about 1 and 1/2 inchs round and its head was not much bigger than a softball but those shoulders were very wide with that little head inside the shoulders.
that SCREACH he made like penn state lion but much higher pitched is something I WILL NEVER FORGET.
that is how close i was to it and i had WITNESS WITH ME ALSO.

there was a cougar shot in chicago, ill.
they had blood from femalecougar , i believe in south dakota.
they took blood from cougar killed in chicago and it MATCHED.
SO, THEY FIGURE THAT THIS cougar COVERED over 930 miles in 9 months to chicago.
this may answer why we see cougar in so many places here in pa ,they may be passing thru.
i think if COUGAR stayed in area, we would have more pictures and sighting in certain area.
i believe now, they are on move always from state to state.
