NY opening weekend deer
 

Well here is a doe I got with my Hoyt the opening Saturday, first opening day deer I've gotten..we were hunting with a neighbor at his cabin/land, 10 yard broadside shot:


Then that Sunday, back home, that evening this tall racked 5 pointer came in, 25 yard broadside shot through the lungs and heart:



This is 3 years in a row now I've gotten a buck out of the same spot. Still have an antlerless bow/muzz tag to fill and dmp.

By the way what did you shoot the buck with, a cannon? lol what happened there?

That's the work of a NAP Thunderhead 100 grain....recovered him like that...since I hit lung and a bit of heart, it was a bunch of frothy red blood that I think was like that because he had layed down.
