Crazy Scrape Activity

Went down and scouted our southern tier farms this weekend and could not believe the scrape and rub activity, it was like the 30th of oct. down there. I have never seen activity like that in the past, hopefulyl it is a good sign for the upcoming season. Anyone else seeing this yet?

Was up at Hickory Run over the weekend and saw a bunch of doe. No buck however, saw two scrapes....could not believe.

Does anyone know if this is a sign of...say lots of buck or perhaps it is only one young buck getting excited? I would love to know a bit more about what it could signal.

I don't think it signals anything. Just bucks being bucks. I always start a mock scrape in September and the bucks start to use it immediately. Just all part of nature taking it's course.

I havent noticed any scrapes yet ,
All the bucks I,ve been seeing are out of velvet ,so they gotta be rubbing now ,
Especialy with the temps in the low 30s at night and mid 50s during the day ,

I just went to see Gary Alsheimer speak, and he did state that bucks will scrape throughout the year, I would assume much much less when not rutting of course. I have seen a few screape as well. It may not necessarily mean that they wrer made due to rutting activity though.

Im seeing the exact same thing here in 3h, it looks like someone ran through the woods with a fork and scraped all trees in site. I also found the biggest scrape ive ever seen in my life, it was 4 feet wide
