Default What's up with the leaves changing already?

Has anyone noticed the leaves changing color already in central Md? I think it's odd that it's happening so early this year. It has been a mild summer. I wonder how the weather will affect the season this year.

I saw a tree here in Northeastern NJ yesterday, the leaves on the tree looked dried out, and there was lots of leaves on the ground...seemed early to me

I started seeing a few changing here in New England in late july(usually do if you look hard enough). There does seem to be more changing early during this month though. I think it just because with all the rain we've had with no long dry spells, growing season for them is ending early.

They have begun here in NY as well, I think it is a combo of the heavy rains and the low 40's night's, it looks and smells like early october around here

I think the farmers almanac was calling for a really hot summer. But it was rather nice this year. So i am hoping it's wromg about a bad winter.
we usually see a little leavesfalling this time of year do to the dry conditions. But i have also noticed the cooleer then average august this year.

Just noticed yesterday on my street all the red Maples have changed color and started dropping there leaves. I'm in the southern tier.
