Hey guys, NY licenses go on sale August 18th. I'm curious to see how everybody does withdoe permits. I've been praticing for a few weeks now and shooting real well. Anybody else getting ready for the new season?

guys.. question on the Doe Tags. does it really matter if you apply now or in 3 weeks? like.. is it first come first serve that u will have a better chance at getting a doe tag? or does it not matter.?

The only exception is if there are left over tags for certain WMUs. It should say in the regs what date they begin selling the "leftovers". This is first come first serve.

As a nonresident, I do not believe I can get a doe permit where I hunt.
I am ready... Will be hunting Hillsdale area early season. Will be out in Auburn area for last week of bow...

I'm quite sure that nonresidents have a chance to obtain doe permits. You just need to look at the chart in the NYS hunting pamphlet. It shows the chances of obtaining permits for both residents and nonresidents in every WMU. Good luck.
