Nice birds, I've only got the chance to go out three mornings all season in NY and so far our birds haven't cooperated one bit. Glad to see someone is having some good luck!

Nice...I could've pulled the trigger on jakes twice this season, but I've passed because I know that there are a couple of brusiers on the property that I hunt. I'm running out of time and I might regret not shooting one of the jakes, but that's what I commited to and I'm sticking with it.

5 birds down, and I have yet to pull the trigger myself. I called in birds for my 2 sons, and my father. My youngest took a jake on youth opener. May 1st I called in a decent 2 yr old for my dad, 7" beard 3/4" spurs. The firstSat. my boys doubled on 2 jakes. Then the next day my oldest bagged his 2nd bird. I personally have since been playing with a few nice toms, but they are henned up, and no matter what I've tried can't get them in. Been hunting alone, pissed off the hens a few times, and got the hens in, but toms always go other direction. I've even setup as close to they're roosting spot as I dare, and not called hoping to takeone coming in after fly down. But they never seem to fly down the same way any given morning. I've been within 40yds of one real nice tom after fly down, but his roosting spot makes the setup real difficult, and you can't see him unless your like 30yds away from him. Dang Birds!!
