PGC to eliminate muzzleloading license deadline?

I read on the PGC web site that they directed staff to develope language to eliminate the muzzleloader license purchasing deadline. Does this mean it will no longer be nessessary to purchase the license before the season starts and be able to buy it anytime? This is the only reason I've never bought a PA muzzleloading license, because I feel you shouldn't have to buy the license before the season starts and not get refunded if you harvasted a buck during archer, or rifle season, so I've boycotted it ever since they started this practice.

padan,That is how it looks to me.I am not a M/L hunter but as I stated before I didn't understand why a M/L hunter shouldn't be able to buy a permit during the extended season if he still had a tag left.I hope they
pass it.

I hope they take away the deadline,or mke it like some other states that require a special stamp and let you take an additional deer with that stamp.

Finally! They've ended one of the dumbest regulations ever created!

It was a dumb rule and I am REALLY glad to see it gone. This could be a real help to knocking down the doe numbers.

P.S. Only Chuck Adams can sit at home and see deer so get into the woods. =;^)

Well, that is one less barrier to my purchasing a muzzleloader license. I am glad to see it removed.

This will allow us to shoot one more doe without a doe tag.In the late muzzy season if you have not shot a buck you can use your buck tag to tag a doe you shoot with the muzzy.I dont know if that is good or not around here.Just gives the bandits around here to cheat some more.

This is a good idea. Who knows, I might get my regular hunting liscence, my doe liscence, and apply for a bonus liscence this year. That way I can get a doe in archery, get a doe in rifle, see if I can find that huge 17 pointer and if I can't, I will get a doe in late muzzleloader. That would be fun. Taking a doe in each of the three seasons.
