MD turkey opening day
 

I got out on some public land this morning, me and at least 3 other guys trying to call in the same bird!

I was lucky enough to see him fly down, pop his head up over the ridge about 20 yds in front of me before he dissapeared into the woods. Hopefully hunting pressure will ease up in another week, give it another try then. I'm just happy I saw a bird! Anyone have any luck this morning?

hunted public land on eastern shore. Had 5 different birds gobble down the river bottom. had a hen come in at 10 yards that was it. they wouldnt cross the river and some fella shot on the other side. The other side was private. Other people around but i was a good mile and a half back so I was alone. We'll see if I am alone tomm though. Prob not after all the noise those birds made today.

Went in So. Md. yesterday morning. Had several gobblers nearby and even set up within 50 or 60 yards of one, but they were henned up. It was fun though!
