It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. They said in the video that theycouldn'ttell yet if it was wild or an escapee.

They should have known at first glance if it was a pet or wild.
Trust me...nobody wants a pet mountain lion with claws intact.
If it had claws, it was certainly wild.

The cops were too busy doing high-fives to think about any kind of investigation work.
It only took them about 25 or 30 shots to kill it!:eek:so WOOHOO!

I think that was the cougar that killed all the deer in PA. The herd should be back up next year.

I can believe 25-30 shots. A couple years ago I hit a deer with my wife's car. I called the PGC the next morning and they gave me a permit # to pick it up. When I got there it was still alive. PGC said to call the local police to have it dispatched. I did. When this 'cowboy' showed up we walked over to the deer and as it was lying there it at a distance of about 10 feet, it took him 5 rounds before he finally hit it in the head. I was about ready to ask him for his Glock so I could kill the deer before he ran out of bullets.
And these guys are supposed to be qualified annually with their handguns and to protect us!! Scary.

Bronko22000... I had a similar story as you... the only thing different was that he just unloaded his gun all over the deer... as he was reloading deer still alive... I pointed to the head and said shoot here. What an idiot.

Up here in Maine we had an incident with a moose with a broken leg on my girlfriends uncles property. When the game warden showed up he walked up to the moose with his 9mm and put 7 rounds in its neck and head area. Now any of you who know anything about moose know on average they are close to 600 lbs and get much bigger. The moose pretty much shook it off. He finally decided that sissy 9mm wasnt enough sogot his 30-06 from his truck and killed it. And this was a game warden. WTF. I dont know whats wrong with these people. Trained professionals my a@#.

All I can say is there was a wild cougar running around the inner city of Chicago....but it is IMPOSSIBLE that there could be a wild one or two in the entire wilds of PA.
We will see.

Watch the vid of it sneakin' behind the Cop and cypher the Cat'sbody language, it was movin' like a Zoo Animal....not a wild animal tryin' to get away.

That was someone's pet, or it wasa zoo animal.

That Cop was clueless BTW, that the Cat was even there......

I'm just going by the news reports. Look on Youtube. There is a news report that it was determined to be wild. Watch this video and at 1:20 into it the gal says it was determined to be wild, then an animal control expert gives the same opinion.
