RA,

We probably got about 18-20 inches in Centereach, will make finding sheds difficult for a few days. I found 3 fresh last week in the snow that we already had. You have any luck with sheds yet?

Looks like we all got hammered, I just shoveled my driveway for the second time, looks like one more to go because its STILL coming down.

Shedhead - My winter scouting has been slowed down by both the weather and work this year. I have only been out about 10 times and its killing me. This snow will make the shedding real tough. I will hit the woods hard though March till June.
Gotta make up for lost time.:D

man i want more!!!!!! we only got about......8 inches or so..some just started falling..i hope its enough to get me out of school again..i dont feel like going lol...i had to shovle the walks twice...once sunday jsut so today it wouldnt be so hard..i was smart...it sure was easy today....and the plows plowed our biggest sidewalk and made mounds on both sides except where the car is so i didnt have to shovle it..probally one of the guys that my parents know knowing we would like not having to shovle that big walk!

Shedmanpyro,

I am from Long Island. The deer here I believe have just started to shed. During our January shotgun season there were not a lot of shed bucks shot and about two weeks ago I was in a area and saw 5 or 6 nice bucks that still had their head gear. I will be back there when this damn snow melts. The three sheds I found the other day were shed after a snow we had and the tines were sticking out of the snow. The one set would score around 115-120.

We were right at 30" before the tail-end of the storm dropped another 2" on us. Worst part was getting the tractor stuck on a hillside for over 2 days. By then the snow was too deep to plow and we had to have a neighbor with a loader help get it out so I could begin clearing my 1/4 mile long driveway!!!

RE: How much SNOW???

Somewhere between 24-25 inches in my part of Eastern PA. I saw some deer trying to run through it yesterday afternoon. I am glad this did not hit during hunting season as I do not think I would have the determination to try to push through it to a treestand...;)
