Weird Morning...Any Help Appreciated!

Went out this morning for a late archery hunt.....got into my stand a light and after about an hour and half, 8 doe (all that is in season until 12/26) came through about 60yds away, they would stop to my grunt calls but would not come closer. Then after about another hour, another big doe came from behind me about 50 or so yards away and same thing. Finally, later around 11, saw another doe about 125 yds. away, would react to the call by pulling up its head but same thing would not come closer....

Any ideas on what I should attempt to do tomarrow?
Thanks for the help guys...

forget the grunt call. If it's does you're after, I wouldn't call at all unless they are not headed your way. If you do use a call, you might try a very softfawn bleat or doe bleat. There will be some doe groups that have lost members to the gun season and they may respond hoping to gather the group together again. This tactic works best on the young ones, especially those that lost mom or grandma earlier in the season.

You absolutely do NOT want to sound like a buck.

What he said, those does probably don't want anything to do with a buck at the moment.

Personally, at this time of year, I believe that calling will help deer that are now very wary to locate you. It simply is not worth it unless the calling is a last resort to bring back deer headed the other way.

The best advice is to set up near where you saw them.

id change my setup and move closer to where i saw them. This time of the year atleast around here a call is useless it just scares em off.
