NY deer, capital region question

I know a few areas that seem to have agood amount ofdeer, these are in the eastern side of the Capital region. I want to hunt there, but fear the crowds during gun season. However, I see allot of posts onlinesaying the hutners #'s are way down in NY. Now..I don't expect to be the only guy in the woods of course, just want an area to hunt without seeing orange everywhere.

Are you NY guys seeing less hunters during gun season?? Should I even bother?? Any input is appreciated...

less hunters? no ... less deer? YES

i used to see 10-20 deer a day in my bow only spot a few miles south of albany

i only saw 9 deer TOTAL this year there.

i bow hunt it during gun season , too, never saw a horn.

pitiful!

its not always about the horns...but i live outside of albany and i have about 9 acres and i have a doe or two and a few youngins that live back in my woods...so i got it pretty allright, just cant take them all in one year.
