RE: Who's Still Hunting in NY?
I have been hunting hard all season wth a bow from Dya one till the end, have been on some great bucks but try to hold out for a huge buck I saw on Nov 3rd, I saw him once more on Dec 1st but he was 200 out, I have been seeing a tremendous 2--25 does and fawns every night in the beans just hopeing love will bring him in, looks doubtful but I will be there till dark on the last night hopeing he shows.

Still at them here in the southern zone. I have 3 so far one buck with bow, doe with shotgun and with muzzleloader. Have passed up small bucks already 3 timesin the lastweek. Have more bucks in range than does.
I have 8 days left of muzzleloader and tags to fill!!

killed one yesterday morning. just a nice looking doe...brought her home and cut her up shes already in the freezer. Will be heading out with my bow once again to fill my either sex tag...looking for the first thing that happens to be in the 'right' place at the 'right' time for me, but the wrong place for whatever happens to walk within 40 yards of my bow'o'death!

Your either sex MZ tag is just - your choice. All tags are in play for late MZ that includes anterless tags and your regular season buck tag can be used for a buck or doe.
You are in a great area. I have land in Dryden and hunt most of the state land in southern Tompkins and Tioga. The bears are moving back into the area. I would not be surprised if they extend bear hunting in 7R in a few years.
