A good reason to miss the last 2 weeks of PA bow season!!
I know this dont really belong here but I'm posting it here simplybecause some of my best huntingnet.com friends hang out here.
Shot him in Brown County illinois
I had seen nothing more than a few fawns for four straight days and On Monday Nov 7 the wind was just howling all day. Luckily, it laid down right around 5 PM. At 5:12 a big doe came in at 8 yards and as she was completely un hurried and undisturbed I decided to take her. She went 40 yards and piled up in sight. I looked at my watch and saw that I had another 15 minutes to hunt so I just stayed in the tree. No more than 2-3 minutes later, I hearda ruckus coming and saw a doe trotting my way. Behind here came a deep grunt and this guy appeared. he was on a serious mission and she was having none of it so I had to MAAA at the top of my lungs to stop him. He stopped at 12 yards. I introduced him to Mr Muzzy and he went past the dead doe and turned down over a bluff. we found him at the bottom.
Bought another doe tag over the counter and had three more shooters in including a 145 class 10 pointer at 6 yards while I was doe hunting before I came home. I guess now it's time to get out after a PA buck!!!

Wow Bob! He looks even bigger than the measurements suggest. Great buck and I'm happy you had a great trip.
Are his horns really that white? I love white horns.
