RE: Official MD Shotgun Season Thread
saw a bunch of deer, neighbors took a nice 8 pointer. I took a doe sunday night after passing on some many all weekend. I heard of a few monster bucks taken in Kent County, anyone heard anything about it?

Shot an 6 point right at sunset. Lotsa blood. Tracked for a few hours that night, lost blood trail after 50 yards. I was literally on my hands and knees looking. Went back in at first light in the morning, picked up the trail, tracked for several hundred yards then the trail was totaly gone. I searched all day yesterday to no luck. He laid in some mud shortly after being shot. I waited about30 minutse before I got down, when I got close he jumped up and ran. Bad time. I feel bad about giving up on him after 13-15 hours of searching.

We hunt on a private piece in Dorchester ,Cambridge. One of out Guys Killed an Old Buck barely had any teeth
he also had a archery wound on his spine that festered. I will post pictures when I get them. The deer had sixpointed palmated antler on one side and a Typical 5 point on the other.I leased this property last year, hunted free this year.

Miss in the AM and another in late afternoon PM. Darn shotgun rolled off and hit the ground just before I headed off into the morning darkness. I can only hope that is it and not me and the fool behind it all.

About 15-20 years back I used to hunt Indian Springs WMA. I stopped because the deer were about wiped out there. What is it like now?
